“In Action”

We’ve become big fans of DC monuments after the sun has set.  One of my favorites is sitting on the steps of the Capital and thinking about everything that taken place there.  Last night, while sitting outside the Senate side of the building, we saw a group of people standing up for something they believe in (extended insurance benefits for war veterans) and seeking to raise awareness of their cause (picture above).  This made me think of a question, “when was the last time I took a stand for something I believed in?”  What about you?

As always, it is an honor to be your pastor and to be in ministry alongside you to an amazing God.

Blessings, Chris

Worship This Week

This Sunday Rob Gordon will be our guest speaker.  Rob’s message is titled “Come Follow Me! – An Invitation to Discipleship.”  The scripture this week will be from the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 4, verses 18-22:

As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew.  They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen.  “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”  At once they left their nets and followed him.

Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee and his brother John.  They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets.  Jesus called them, and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.

Our services will begin with the song This Could Change Everything by Francesca Battistelli.  Our hymns for the morning include I Am Thine, O Lord, Jesus Calls Us, and The Summons

Virtual Worship Information

In addition to in-person worship, each Sunday we will live-stream our 10:20 worship service. The service can be viewed on our Facebook Page.  The service will start at approximately 10:25 following the Gathering Song.  Additionally, we post a recording of our message each week to our website by early Sunday afternoon.
