Provide Opportunities to Serve God in Boonville and Beyond

Worship This Week

This Sunday we continue our message series titled “Upside Down: A Look at the Beatitudes.” This Sunday’s message is titled “Blessed Are: They Who Mourn.” Our Scripture focus will be the prophet Isaiah, chapter 61, verses 1 through 3.

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim  freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion – to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.

Our services this week will begin with I Got You by Danny Gokey as our Gathering song.  Our Opening Hymn will be Great Is Thy Faithfulness.  Our other music this week includes Open the Eyes of My Heart and Because He Lives.

Virtual Worship Information

In addition to in-person worship, our service will be live-streamed. The service can be viewed on our Facebook Page.  The service will start at approximately 10:25 am after our Gathering Song.  Additionally, we post a recording of our messages to our website by early Sunday afternoon.

Ice Cream Freeze Off! –

What’s better than a nice bowl of ice cream on a hot summer day?  How about a whole bunch of flavors of homemade ice cream and fellowship with friends? If this sounds good to you, then make plans to join us July 21 at 4:00 pm for our Annual Ice Cream Freeze Off. As always, this event is open to everyone who would like to enter their favorite home-made ice cream – the more exotic the flavor, the better!  If you’re not an Ice Cream chef, we’d love to have you come and be one of our judges. The event is free (as always), but an offering will be accepted. This year we have decided to give the proceeds of the Ice Cream Freeze Off to help with the medical expenses for Brody Crawford, a young man in our Kids Hope program. We are thrilled to add this missional component to this great event.
