“Rest”
There’s been a lot of illness and such going around the last couple weeks. Between Covid, colds, and several different kinds of viruses, it seems like everyone has been a little under the weather.
Last evening I felt my body telling me it was time to slow down a bit and get a good night’s rest. As some of you might know, Friday is my Sabbath Day – a day to give my body and soul what they need. I like to say that Sabbath begins for me by waking up when my body tells me to, not when my alarm says I should. This morning, I did just that, and while I still have a list of “ought tos” I’d rather ignore, my body and soul now have much more ability than if I had failed to give them what they needed.
As the weekend approaches, I want to encourage you to pause for a moment and check in with your body and soul. I know weekends are often a different kind of busy, but I encourage you to take a moment and listen for the needs of your soul. Just spend even a few minutes to “Be Still,” and likely your body, mind, and soul will be renewed.
Blessings, Chris

Worship This Week
This Sunday we continue our message series titled “Facing Our Giants.” In this series, we will look at some of those giants that appear in our lives, those battles we face where it feels like the odds are anything but in our favor. This week we continue looking at internal giants, specifically the giant of anger. Our Scripture focus will be from the book of Matthew, chapter 5, verses 21-26.
“You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘You shall not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’ But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,” is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.
Therefore if you are offering a gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.
Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still together on the way, or your adversary may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison. Truly I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.
Our services will begin with the song 10,000 Reason, by Matt Redman. At the 8:00 service, our opening song will be O For A Thousand Tongues To Sing. The 10:20 service will be led by Praise band in Made For More. Our other 2 songs will be I Love You, Lord and Lord, I Want To Be A Christian.
Virtual Worship Information
In addition to in-person worship, our service will be live-streamed. The service can be viewed on our Facebook Page. The service will start at approximately 10:20 am following our Gathering Song. Additionally, we post a recording of our messages to our website by early Sunday afternoon.
