As reports of violence and tragedy dominate the news, as the rhetoric in the campaigns for the upcoming elections gets nastier, and as anxiety does all it can to overwhelm us, hear these words: “Cling to what is good.”
Blessings, Chris

Worship This Week
This Sunday we conclude our message series titled “Facing Our Giants.” In this series, we will look at some of those giants that appear in our lives, those battles we face where it feels like the odds are anything but in our favor. This week we continue by looking at the giant of limitations. Our Scripture focus will be from the First Book of Samuel, chapter 17, verses 20-24, 32-33.
Early in the morning David left the flock in the care of a shepherd, loaded up and set out, as Jesse had directed. He reached the camp as the army was going out to its battle positions, shouting the war cry. Israel and the Philistines were drawing up their lines facing each other. David left his things with the keeper of supplies, ran to the battle lines and asked his brothers how they were. As he was talking with them, Goliath, the Philistine champion from Gath, stepped out from his lines and shouted his usual defiance, and David heard it. Whenever the Israelites saw the man, they all fled from him in great fear.
David said to Saul, “Let no one lose heart on account of this Philistine; your servant will go and fight him.”
Saul replied, “You are not able to go out against this Philistine and fight him; you are only a young man, and he has been a warrior since his youth.”
Our services will begin with the song Who Can, by Cochren and Co. At our 10:20 service, our Choir will provide In the Beauty of Your Holiness as our Prelude. We will open our singing with To God Be the Glory, followed by Amazing Grace, My Chains Are Gone. We will conclude our services with the song Are You Able..
Virtual Worship Information
In addition to in-person worship, our service will be live-streamed. The service can be viewed on our Facebook Page. The service will start at approximately 10:25 am following our Gathering Song. Additionally, we post a recording of our messages to our website by early Sunday afternoon.
