Congratulations! Scholarships Awarded to: Alexander (Xander) McGruder, Cooper McGruder, & Garrett Snyder. Xander and Cooper will continue their education at the University of Missouri, and Garrett will attend DePaul University. These recipients exemplify ambition, excellence, and perseverance. 

June 20th Honoring Graduates: We will be honoring all graduating students (high school and beyond) on June 20 to acknowledge their accomplishments and future endeavors. We are pleased to recognize Xander, Cooper, Garrett, and all our other graduates, and we wish them success in their future endeavors. In our efforts of recognition please let us know who else needs added to our working list includes: High School:  Baron Davis Fleming, Alexander McGruder, Cooper McGruder, Rebecca Shaw, and Garrett Snyder.  College:  Noah Rogers, Jordan Schler, Doctorate of Audiology.  Add to the list by emailing the church office at boonvillemethodist@gmail.com

Volunteer Help Wanted – We are looking to add a few more folks to our liturgist list (those who help lead the worship service each week) rotation. If you are interested in helping or would like more information about it, please reach out to Pastor Chris. 

Wednesday’s 10am Ladies Bible Study – The Wednesday Ladies Bible Study group that meets at 10 am each Wednesday in the lounge began a new study on April 30th. If there is anyone who would like to join the group, please let Linda Gordon (816-769-4376) know and she will get a book ordered for you. New study is: “Women of the Word” by Jen Wilkin and would love to have you join us for Bible study, prayer, and discussion.

Upper Room Devotional Books – Spend time each day in God’s Word with thought-provoking devotions to strengthen your relationship with Jesus Christ.  “Upper Room” devotional books have arrived, please help yourself to one in the back of the sanctuary.

June 11th at 10:00 am New Ministry Forming – We are working on developing a new ministry specifically for some of the more “mature” folks in our congregation and community. If you are interested in a joining a group of peers for fellowship, maybe some daytrips, potlucks, Bible study, and outreach, you are invited to a conversation on Wednesday, June 11 at 10:00 am in the Fellowship Hall. Please come and share your thoughts and ideas about what this ministry might be and become.

June 30th – July 2, 9am – 11:30 am: VBS 2025 “Saddle up, Partners! Get Ready for a rootin’ tootin’ hoe-down show-down with Outlaws for God…an Adventure in the Wild West and the World” – Join us this summer as we turn VBS into a 3-day party – celebrating the Good News of Jesus Christ! All children from pre-K to 5th grade are welcome (older kids are welcome to join in helping us run this party!) Please help us get the word out to all kids – your kids, your friend’s kids, your neighbor’s kids, your friend’s neighbor’s kids, grandkids, etc. If you would like to help with VBS, please contact Heather Beach 660-537-0084

Sagrada Bible Camp – We are once again looking for help providing transportation for Camp Sagrada. The camp’s mission is to reach children with the gospel, whose parents are incarcerated. Campers experience the love of Jesus, and that of camp staff/counselors, in a fun-filled natural environment. We are looking for help on the following dates: June 9 and 13, June 16 and 20, June 23 and 27, July 7 and 11, July 14 and 18, July 21 and 25.  Please take a look at your schedule and see if you are willing to make a trip, and if so, which date?  There is a sign-up sheet in the east narthex.
